Suppliers

The first link in the supply chain is the suppliers, who deliver raw materials, semi-finished goods or finished products to their customers' warehouses. The aim of this phase is to deliver the goods to the customers' warehouses within the agreed time frame and minimise transport costs.

Services offered

Delivery management and tracking: having control over deliveries and their confirmed dates is fundamental to good production planning. This situation becomes even more critical when there is a production shortfall.

This is why companies are increasingly using this service today, in order to reduce this problem by up to 30%.

Milk Run suppliers for material collection: based on a study of delivery frequency, average delivery quantity and supplier location, the most suitable means of transport and the best timetable are identified in order to achieve benefits such as:

This requires complete synchronisation between all actors in the supply chain to achieve an average saving of 15%.

Inbound

At this stage, the material arrives at the warehouse reception area and arrivals are recorded by the supplier portal. A registration and control process begins, which involves checking the number of packages received, assigning a sequential entry number (e.g. chromatic/prefect), counting the materials per item and creating the Goods Receipt Note (BEM), and pre-allocation labelling (udc or udm).

Verifying compliance with the quality standards required at this stage and managing non-conformities with suppliers and customers.

LDG has developed specific expertise in the management and handling of its customers' materials in the aeronautics and aerospace sectors, complying with and applying:

FOD stands for Foreign Object Damage and refers to a series of rules and prohibitions designed to prevent materials or substances from coming into contact with production materials that could damage the final component (Internal FOD).

ESD stands for Electrostatic Discharge, a series of standards, procedures and tools designed to prevent the creation of an electrical flow in the form of a spark or discharge that is generated between two objects when there is a large difference in potential between them.

MSD (Moisture Sensitive Devices) are electronic devices encapsulated with plastic compounds and other organic materials. Atmospheric moisture penetrates permeable packaging materials by diffusion and collects mainly at the interfaces between different materials. LdG operators responsible for storing and handling these materials have taken a specific course on the storage and drying of such components.

By completing and signing the Multimodal Declaration for shipments of dangerous goods destined for both foreign and domestic ports, which certifies that those who handle, stow and transport the packages are aware of the type of goods and that they are classified as hazardous material. For this reason, the Multimodal Declaration must be completed competently and accurately.
